EVENT: Jemseg Waterfowl Field Trip
Depending on Spring time conditions, your Field Trip Coordinator has tentatively scheduled a Jemseg waterfowl outing for Saturday, April 29th with a rain date of Sunday, April 30th. We will meet behind the Cow Town Tim Hortons at 9:00 a.m. and divide into car pools.
Due to the weather extremes we have been experiencing I suggest you dress in layers. For the most part the viewing will take place from the road so footwear of your choice though water proof boots would be great if some one chooses. Please pack a lunch for noon hour in the field. The trip usually lasts 6 to 7 hours so the day may end off with a meal at a restaurant. Hope to see you then.
June 2nd to June 4th, 2017
EVENT: Festival of Nature
LOCATION: Kouchibouguac National Park
If you donít already have plans for the weekend of 2 to 4 June you might like
to consider attending the Festival of Nature this year. You will meet a lot of
people with similar interests to your own and will be led of field trips by
naturalists who really know their stuff.
This year's Festival is a partnership of NatureNB and Parks Canada. The park
staff have provided their philosophy in preparing for this event:
"Our field trips have been designed to allow you to explore a full range of birding
opportunities, many different plant communities, and some unique excursions
exclusive to this festival. Of course, you will not have an opportunity to sample
everything that we have to offer Ė and that is part of our scheme to lure you back
this way time and again after the Festival of Nature itself wraps up. And, we know
that you will be charmed by the hospitality you will experience while you are here."
You can read more about the Festival of Nature, download the programme and
register by clicking here.
You do not need to be a member of Nature NB to attend this event.
