On a sunny warm day, 18 members toured the Jemseg area.

Some viewed from the road others ventured into the fields.

Everyone enjoyed the Northern Flicker and the Loon.

The rare Headless Heron.
(One of the frustrations of the shutter lag with a digital camera!)

Fortunately she did sit still for a few moments.

Lunch Break

Many Osprey were sighted- on the nests, in trees, in the air.

No ducks at the marsh but 3 Greater Yellowlegs appeared.

A highlight for many was the American Bittern sighting.

Several ducks were spotted in a small flooded area- team work identified them.

No spring waterfowl trip is complete without a stop to see the Painted Turtles.

Jim spotted a child with a snake and had to stop and check it out.

It was warm enough for butterlies to be out.
